Sabri Safiye
Editor: Müren Beykan
The story of those who listen to nature...
Beloved for his surprising plots, Sabri Safiye unravels the secret communication networks at the heart of the forest. Through the language of trees, fungi, and plants, this novel reminds us that nature belongs not just to humans but to all living beings. Winking at childhood memories, it invites readers to observe their surroundings more closely, to establish a more attentive relationship with our planet, and to respect the right of all other living things to live.
Overview
Kerem enters the forest for the first time for his homework of collecting tree leaves. The spicy scents, echoing sounds, and changing colours fill him with a sense of adventure. He learns from Nergis, who knows all the trees and grasses, that the trees turning yellow and withering are actually preparing for something entirely different. As dynamite explosions continue in the nearby gold mine, will the two children be able to stop this secret plan?..
