The sun rises to make us smile all the time…

From Ahmet Büke, award-winning author of Turkish literature comes a funny story for his little readers, filled with love and hope. Beloved storyteller adds another adventure to his Zeyno Series covering two other titles – Oh No, Dad’s Writing Poems! (Eyvah, Babam Şiir Yazıyor!) and In Space with Mom (Annemle Uzayda).

Topics that are difficult to get through with children such as economic conditions, unemployment, moving to another city, changing schools are skillfully combined with author’s powerful narrative and heart-warming details. Büke’s new and cheerful family story, which is illustrated by 2018 Hans Christian Andersen Award nominee Sedat Girgin, makes the reader feel how life and friendships are empowered by solidarity.

When Zeyno’s both parents lose their jobs, it becomes very difficult to continue living in a big city. An old family friend, Uncle Selçuk, invites them to his garden house in a small town by the sea. While Zeyno’s father goes fishing together with Uncle Selçuk, her mother starts to work through internet. Zeyno gets used to the life in this small town. Her friendship with her new schoolmate Neşe and their explorations throughout the town introduces them to new and warm emotions
