Overview

Nisan who complains that she can never have a birthday party with her classmates because she was born in the summertime invites her friends to her birthday party on one weekend! When her mother realized this, it was too late to stop because she already distributed the invitations she prepared in her own handwriting. Many of her friends gladly accepted the invitation. Nisan is excited about introducing her new cute kitten Karaböcü to her friends. However, Karaböcü has been forgotten in all this excitement and is very offended…

Niran Elçi

She was born in 1971 in Rize. She was graduated from the Industrial Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University in 1992 and worked as an executive in the private sector for many years. Elçi translated numerous books from English to Turkish. She started writing for children with the best loved “Karaböcü” series consisting of four books (ill. Gözde Bitir).
