Overview

Karaböcü, who cannot find anyone to play with while Nisan is at school, is very much bored. When he wants to play with the goldfish at home, Nisan’s mother being unaware of his special talent, scolds him. Thinking that he is being scolded unfairly, Karaböcü jumps out of the window and runs away. After strolling in the unknown streets in high spirits, Karaböcü loses his way. When he stops in a park to rest from his search among people and animals he does not know, he teaches a lesson to the boy who is trying to incite his big dog to attack people. Karaböcü longs for his home and Nisan…

Niran Elçi

She was born in 1971 in Rize. She was graduated from the Industrial Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University in 1992 and worked as an executive in the private sector for many years. Elçi translated numerous books from English to Turkish. She started writing for children with the best loved “Karaböcü” series consisting of four books (ill. Gözde Bitir).
