GOOD MORNING BARRAGE
Müge İplikçi
Illustrator: Huban Korman
Editor: Müren Beykan
Our most precious legacy is our stories...
Müge İplikçi, one of the sensitive authors of Turkish contemporary literature, tells a lyrical story about nature and people. The novel, which focuses on environmental pollution, praises friendship, solidarity and goodness against fear and bullying, makes us think of opposites such as good-bad, past-future, beautiful-ugly in a fiction that witnesses the past and present. While the unforgettable characters of Müge İplikçi invite readers to a time travel full of courage and hope in the Belgrad Forest, the colourful illustrations of artist Huban Korman dimension the inter-temporal transitions.
Overview
If Neşe finds the most interesting story of the forest with her friends, she will participate in the television show “Legacy of the Forest”. However, it is no longer possible to take a beautiful story out of the forest. This place, once magnificent with its barrages and trees, has turned into a big dumping ground and has become the kingdom of the Mays Monster. But one day, Neşe’s mother shares such a story about the forest, about her friends with autism and “Good Morning Barrage”, children are hopeful again.
