The book covers thirteen short stories each of which gives voice to the problems, the desires, and sometimes silent, sometimes hearable screams of young adults who are trying to exist in the vastly different geographies, social environments and income groups of Turkey. The multi-layered themes of stories vary from domestic violence to disability, from addiction to first love, from mourning to brotherhood depict the different aspects of youth in Turkey.

AUTHOR

Mine Soysal

Mine Soysal was born in 1959 in İstanbul. Soysal graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Ancient Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures in 1981. Until 1994 she worked as an archeologist and researcher in Istanbul Archeology Museums and implemented exhibition projects. She founded Günışığı Kitaplığı in 1996, a publishing house specialised in Turkish and world literature for children and young adults.
