Overview

While visiting Mr. Chagrin’s shop with the Alt brothers, Mariana accidentally unrolls a map of the Solar System. This seemingly simple action activates the asteroid Brimstone 13, which will crash into North America unless the puzzles are solved. As millions of people are evacuated by ships, the children are separated from their families as a result of setbacks and find themselves alone on a huge ship heading to Australia. Struggling to decipher the riddles amidst the chaos, the young adventurers encounter Ava, who rescues them from a remote island where they are stranded and introduces them to the wonders of the natural world…

Born in Moscow in 1961, Vladimir Tumanov worked as a professor between 1991-2025 in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at Western University in Canada.
