Füsun Çetinel • Cansu Dinç
What if you come across humans in the forest?
Beloved for her books written for children and young adults, Füsun Çetinel this time creates a playful story for little ones about how humans disrupt nature’s balance. The untimely awakening of a bear family from hibernation comes to life through illustrator Cansu Dinç’s unique, colourful drawings, taking readers on a delightful visual reading adventure. A colourful and gentle tale about how everything in nature has its time, those who disturb nature’s peace, and the “real dangers” we might encounter in the forest.
Overview
The brown bear has woken up from hibernation, but he is still very sleepy. The noises coming from outside the cave have interrupted the bear family’s sleep before winter has even ended, waking them all up. When they step out of the cave, they are astonished to see the source of the noise in their forest: HUMANS! The meadow is full of plastic trash, swings have been tied to tree branches, fishing rods have been cast into the river and trout are being caught… The bear family looks for a way to chase away the humans, who with their shouting and commotion, have disturbed the peace of the entire forest…
