Serhan Ok

He was born in 1984 in Kayseri. After completing his education in Industrial Engineering at Bilkent University, he earned a master’s degree in anthropology from Yeditepe University. He also received training in psychology. The author, who teaches branding and advertising courses at Marmara and Bahçeşehir Universities, serves on the board of Yanındayız (We Stand by You) Association, which focuses on gender equality. Encouraged by his literature teacher, he began writing at the age of sixteen, eventually focusing on children’s literature. He won awards for his story İtinalı Karantina in 2021, which explored how our lives were reshaped during the pandemic, and for his manuscript “Atımın Kuyruğu” in 2023. “Atımın Kuyruğu” later evolved into the novel My Friend Steel (Arkadaşım Çelik), published by Günışığı Kitaplığı in 2025. The author lives in İstanbul with his wife and son.
