The story of those who flap their wings towards hope...

In his first novel, educator and author Mehmet Ali Öksüz tells the tale of a lonely child trying to survive in an unknown geography. Using clear language that leaves a strong literary taste, he tells the hopeful story of a child who manages to hold on to life through the magic of nature and words, despite life’s misfortunes and all the hardships. The dark clouds of longing, loneliness and growing pains are dispersed by the love and kindness found on the wings of a crane.

Overview

Ati, who lives in a village on the slopes of the great mountains of Bahrata, is left all alone when his father goes far away and his mother leaves home with his siblings afterwards. He takes refuge in the magnificent nature and the tales of the wise Mother İnşu. He adopts a wounded baby crane which, just like him, is separated from its flock He dreams that the crane he is trying to cure will be able to fly until the next migration season.
