A mysterious adventure where silence speaks loudest!
The first series in the brand-new Mysterious Adventures collection, created for the 30th anniversary of Günışığı Kitaplığı, is by award-winning crime fiction author Suat Duman.
The first novel in Suat Duman’s mystery-filled adventure series “Mars Vulpes” tells the story of three extraordinary friends investigating a series of puzzling events at their school. Through the perspective of a highly perceptive protagonist, the novel traces the strange silence that settles over the schoolyard and the disappearance of birdsong. While celebrating children’s curiosity and attentiveness, it highlights the importance of observing the world around them and developing a sensitivity toward nature. Unfolding like a detective investigation, the story blends a call for environmental awareness with themes of courage and friendship.
Overview
Gifted with heightened senses, Mars Vulpes notices something unusual one morning in the schoolyard: The cheerful chirping of the cockatoos has suddenly stopped. At the same time, the championship trophy has gone missing and the teachers begin asking strange questions about ghosts. As Mars pieces together clues with friends Güneş and Cemil, signs of a hidden mechanism and an unexpected plan emerge behind the silence. Who has silenced the birds that once filled the school with life and why?..
