He was born in 1936 in Adana. After completing his army duty he began to work in Adana Municapality Theatre, then he went to Ankara Art Theatre. Finally he began to act at Turkish cinema generally known as Yeşilçam. In 1980, after Turkish cinema lost in crisis, he immigrated to Sydney.
