Huban Korman

Editor: Müren Beykan

Clean energy means smiling children...

Master artist Huban Korman tells a sun-drenched story based on memories of her childhood in Batman, Southeastern Anatolia. Told through the eyes of a child, she transforms the picnic adventure of a family living near an oil refinery into a colourful tale, which illustrates the importance of increasing clean energy sources. She inspires enthusiasm for science to harness the power of nature, and plants a wish full of hope, for the future of the world’s children.

As they move through the golden desert to take shelter in the shadow of a giant oil pump, Mustafa hears frightening sounds and clings to his sister’s skirt. Listening to the siblings’ colourful dreams, Uncle Yücel who is an engineer, promises them a surprise…
