Turgay Fişekçi, a poet, writer and editor, was born in Balıkesir in 1956. He graduated from Law Faculty of İstanbul University. His first poem was published in 1977 and after 1978, he began to work as an editor. Many of his poems were composed as songs and he also wrote song lyrics.
