A young adult’s novel by a master of literature!
Cemil Kavukçu, winner of prestigious awards such as Yaşar Nabi Nayır Story Award and Sait Faik Story Award, makes the reader feel his superior skill in story writing in this multi-layered novel. Bearing witness to a period where lessons were taught on the blackboard and neighborhoods were drenched with fire hoses, the story creates a literary narrative full of a child’s worries and dreams. Issues like education based on memorization, inhibited love affairs and children who work, are carried into the narrative along with a child being introduced to prohibitions when he starts high school. A novel full of surprises by Cemil Kavukçu, a master of letters.
