Behiç Ak invites all children to dream about future and follow their dreams in his new and third book of “Chubby Books” series. Following up the previous stories How Long is My Hand? and The Many Ways of A Stone, Memo continues to search for answers of various questions and witness the endless nature of childhood dreams while his close friend Chubby stays indifferent. The story encourages children to think about possibilities and differences and also opens the door to future philosophical readings. With colorful illustrations and creative reading possibilities, the series offer both children and adults an attractive way to think.

Overview

Memo, bored of being a child, tries to decide what to become when he gets older. Everybody has a dream and an idea about what to become. His friend Chubby, on the other hand, has the strangest ideas!

AUTHOR

Behiç Ak

He was born in Samsun and studied architecture in Yıldız University and İstanbul Technical University. He’s a well-known cartoonist, author, illustrator, and documentary film director. He draws daily cartoons for Cumhuriyet Newspaper since 1982. His cartoons were exhibited in several countries like Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany. Besides his plays Separation (Ayrılık) and Building (Bina), his two other plays Fault Line (Fay Hattı) and City for One (Tek Kişilik Şehir) were staged in Europe and attracted big interest.
