Overview

While the Gümüşsoy Family’s father Engin was busy with his textile business, all the other members were busy with living a luxurious life! The lifestyles of mother Seval and their elder daughter Burcu was full of consumption and arrogance; credit cards, expensive cars, luxurious house, jewelleries, private schools and expensive vacations abroad … Then one day, all were gone. They had to escape. They had to live in a village for the first time in their lives and only thing they brought with them was their urban habits. But was it possible for them to survive in the nature, holding on to the trees, earth and good emotions?

She was born in İstanbul. She graduated from Boğaziçi University Industrial Engineering department in 1982. Her writing career began during her university years. Some of her translations were published in literary and translation magazines during those years. She worked as a journalist at İzmir Life magazine.
