Neydik N'olduk Ailesi
THE THEN-AND-NOW FAMILY
Editor: Müren Beykan
How possible is it to make a new start?
Loved for her books that reflect her deep observation ability, contemporary author Neslihan Acu tells the entertaining story of a family that clings to each other in difficult times in her new novel. Leaving behind the luxurious life in the city, the family’s journey to nature is based on realistic characters. While handling the subtle details about today’s Turkey, she presents an up to date photograph and increases the dose of social criticism with humour. Like in her earlier young adult novel Z-Age Loneliness (Z Yalnızlığı), published by ON8 and attracted the attention of young readers, in this new novel again Acu makes her readers to think about consumption, country life, wealth-poverty and she plants undying seeds about friendship, life and solidarity. A novel that holds on to the hope of having a fresh start against all odds and remaining together!

They had to escape. They had to live in a village for the first time in their lives and only thing they brought with them was their urban habits. But was it possible for them to survive in the nature, holding on to the trees, earth and good emotions?
