Overview

Years ago, Memo’s father abandoned them and disappeared into thin air. As he grew older, Memo, who shared his thoughts and feelings only with his diary, was more and more curious about his father and started to search the things his father had left behind. The old, clunky camera he found in the chest seemed to bring him closer to his father. However, his mother’s getting ready to remarry after all these years and facing the attacks of a gang of five at school made Memo’s life hell. Fortunately, his dear friend Derinsu had clever ideas…

Sevgi Saygı, was born in 1957 in İzmir, graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Cinema and Television. She worked as assistant film director with famous movie director Atıf Yılmaz and wrote several film scripts. Saygı is currently writing books for children and young adults. Her first children’s novel Where Did Dad Go? (Babam Nereye Gitti?, 2009) is followed by What’s Happening to My Uncle? (Amcama Neler Oluyor?) and Mystic Days (Gizemli Günler).
