Overview
Ali and his family’s life have changed a lot due to the pandemic. While struggling with the difficulties of online distant education on one hand, Ali also worries about his mother who is a healthcare professional. Although his family applies all protection measures, their stubborn neighbour Mrs. Külyutmaz’s carelessness causes Granny Yaşar to get the virus. Ali, who is very worried about his grandmother taken to the hospital, unexpectedly encounters with Cavid the Virus. As he talks to the virus, he learns many things about human body, illness and the virus itself. Will his grandmother win the fight against this deadly virus and return home? Will Ali be able to help her recovery with the information he got from Cavid the Virus?..

She was born in Istanbul, in 1975. Uşar studied Radio, Television, Cinema at Marmara University. She worked as a reporter, editor and script writer. In 2010, she participated in a writing workshop in Antwerp, Belgium, with the invitation of PEN, and wrote her first children’s book The Light That Moved from the Light House (Fenerden Taşınan Işık, 2011) published by Günışığı Kitaplığı.
