Sevim Ak

Editor: Müren Beykan

When a child is offended, the silence grows…

Beloved author Sevim Ak, who recently celebrated her 30th year in children’s literature, is skillfully narrating the confusions of nine year old Ada, after the arrival of his baby sister to the family. The author is pointing out that the actual cure for the feelings of loneliness and depression a child is going through can be found in the warmth of understanding family members, open communication, friendship and nature. With its simple yet competent narration, this book will powerfully wrap up the child reader with love.

Overview

Ada feels totally alone until one day he sees that strange black “thing” under a plane tree. He really wonders who is that man wearing a hat and living in this black, strange thing…
